The Rose

When my mom found out that we were adopting a baby girl she planted this pink rose bush for her. We've lived here since December and I'm just now finding out about this. Never noticed it. So here it is in full bloom.
Mom was holding Maegan so she could smell it. She loves to smell flowers. It's actually pretty tall. Mom was standing up next to it.

Pink Sand??

Nanny brought Maegan home a sandbox with Pink sand!!
She loves it.

She played in it until it got dark.
And doing what she loves best holding baby Kaeden! She calls him "it" or "head"? I hold it, I hold it, or gimme the head. Since she is refusing to do the potty training, we stopped the bottles cold turkey last night. I'm sure I should've done it a long time ago, but she's my little baby!! I got a tip from Kate last night on John & Kate plus 8 to just sit your kid on the potty and eventually they will go. Their son was on the potty for 35MIN.!!!! Maegan won't sit more than 1min. Crazy!

Blog relationships

If you've never had one you wouldn't understand. I am in Yahoo Group consisting of mothers who have all adopted from Guatemala, domestically and currently in process of adopting from Ethopia. Some of us have met on visit trips to Guatemala, others we only know from chatting. These are some of my closest friends. They are always there for me as I am for them. We've been through a lot together in the short time we've known eachother. I wanted to share what one of them sent me. Angie Hill you are the greatest!!

Heavenly Father,
We know that you see what is going on down here and we know that you WILL work all for the good of Your glory. Lord, we cry out to you to be with the people of Big Spring, TX, especially Joel & Lisa as they are going through so much not only with the stress of the gang-related issues, but also in their deep concern for their beloved sister/SIL – concern that she is not receiving the best medical care possible. While we know that every day here is a gift from you and that one day we will all pass, Father God, we just ask that you be with us during these oh so trying times that we do face here on Earth. Having loved ones is such a blessing gift from you, and with that gift of deep love for one another that you give us, also, at times, comes deep fears & sorrows. Be with us as we all try to be there for each other during these times – to keep each other lifted up in our faith in your eternal promise.
Thank you Lord for hearing me. AMEN.

In Him,
